Striking a Pose

Vision: The subject and title fit well. This is a well captured shot, the angle works well for the 'pose'.

Originality: The angle of this shot makes it quite unique, most other bird shots are taken asthough looking directly at the bird, rather than from above or just below. Unless they are flying of course. <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s…" width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Smile)"/>

Technique: For a point and shoot this is a good shot, the light is a little over-exposed, losing some detail and making the image seem grainy, but other than that, it's very well shot. I suggest playing with EV settings in the future, most cameras have this feature but few use it. If you used a -1/3 EV or -2/3 I think the light would be a little better.

Impact: This shot evokes the majestic nature of the Eagle, which is already reinforced but it's widespread use in symbols and logos in the US. Your photograph certainly does it justice.
